9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Jesus explains that seeing Him reveals the Father because the Father dwells and works in Him.
The Son’s real human life explains prayer, obedience, growth, suffering, mediation, and limited human experience without making Jesus less than fully divine.
Apostolic teaching distinguishes the eternal Spirit from the genuine humanity God assumed. It does not turn that distinction into separate divine beings.
The answer is not that Jesus pretended to pray or suffer. The incarnate Son truly lived a human life in relation to God while the fullness of God dwelt in Him.
Name the human action honestly, then pair it with an indwelling or deity passage so neither side of the incarnation is erased.
