Prayer and greater-language concern humbled mission
The Son possesses real human dependence and will. The Father is greater in the sense that God transcends the humbled incarnate condition and is the source of mission.
Apostolic explanation should not deny the verse. It should ask greater in what respect and during what condition.
The unknown hour belongs to genuine human knowledge
Mark’s statement is one of the strongest witnesses to Christ’s real human cognitive life. If Jesus only acted uninformed, the incarnation becomes deceptive.
The same Gospel tradition attributes divine authority and identity to Jesus. The distinction is not two Gods with unequal information but deity and authentic humanity united in Christ.
Right-hand visions communicate exaltation
Stephen sees divine glory and the Son of man standing in vindication. The vision distinguishes the glorified human Messiah in relation to God’s glory.
Old Testament idiom and Revelation’s one-throne conclusion prevent the image from becoming two coequal Gods with separate divine bodies.
